Photoshop: Straight line for Brush Tool (with consistent opacity/size)

It would be fantastic if there were a way to draw straight lines with the brush tool at any angle. Perhaps the pen pressure/size locks in on the firsts shift+click!

Alternately a line straightening tool like in pro-create would be ideal (but more costly)

The current Shift+Click tapers in one direction making it invisible shortly after the first point (when using pen pressure to control size/opacity) and the line tool does not offer the range of the brushes.

Thanks!

Hello, did you try to enter a larger value after "fade" ?

Create a path and use the brush to apply a stroke maybe?

Not a bad idea! I've been also just rotating the canvas and shift+dragging OR just shift clicking with the mouse to negate the pen pressure. For me the real goal is speed, all these take time that adds up quite a bit and can interrupt work flow. Still, I'll give paths a try.

Try drawing a straight line with your brush while holding shift. Then just translate/rotate it where you need it to be.
