Photoshop: Smart Object text rendering bug with Source Code Pro
When creating a Smart Object with text in Source Code Pro, the text is replaced with (seemingly) random characters in light italic.
Before:

After:

The issue does not seem to affect text in other fonts, including other SVG fonts like Trajan Color.
Photoshop 22.0.1, macOS 10.15.7

I'm not able to reproduce. Could you post the PSD you're seeing this with? (dropbox or CC Files)

Very strange. It seems like maybe the font on your system has problems. When I double-click the Smart Object, it says the text layer need to be updated for vector output, I update and it looks correct.
Our text engineer asked me to have you try clearing font font cache: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-fonts-photoshop.html#photoshopfontcache

Very strange. I've tried on 6 different Macs running both Catalina and Big Sur. I'll need to talk with type folks more but they're out on holiday until next week.
