Photoshop: Scroll through layer modes with keys

I would like to scroll through layer modes when having activated one with keyboard keys down and up. Then I could select the layer mode with Enter.

You are aware of the default shortcuts (alt-shift-+ and alt-shift--), though?

Yes, but what about handicapped people who cannot use more than one key?

Well, it’s certainly true that it would be nice if all of Photoshop’s keyboard shortcuts were editable.

There are things that work in Windows but not in a Mac-Version. I always wonder why. I just checked it Win CS6 works fine.

Actually I just tried on Mac (10.6.8) and after clicking the Blend Mode in the Layers Panel I can navigate with the up- and down-arrows.

Yes, but what my customer wanted, maybe I didn't explain it well enough. He wants to get there with a key and then scroll down. You have to click on the pulldown now. Is there a key to activate the pulldown first. I don't think so.

Not that I know of.
It should be possible to create a Configurator Panel, though, which lists all Blend Modes on buttons (utilizing Scripts or even Actions), so that one could click them directly.

With windows, once a blendmode is selected you can use the mouse wheel to go through all the modes, maybe a change of mouse might work?

Paul, do you think a straight up Scripting solution (scrolling through a Dialog’s ListItems representing the Blend Modes) would make sense?

It's possible Christoph, but a change of mouse to a windows mouse should make several actions much easier (context menu etc.)
