Photoshop: Save selected Smart Object layer comp with root document layer comps

Hi. I am a digital, UI and UX designer and I would really appreciate it if you could make it possible to save smart object layer comp states inside the root document.

Right now I can change the layer comp states of a smart object in my root document, but I cannot save the state in the root document layer comps.

This would be really nice to have. For example if I have smart object with a button inside, that has 3 states/layer comps: Normal, hover, click.

In my root document I have my design where I want to implement the button in a user journey. I want to be able to show the button in all states in the journey, without having 3 instances of the same smart object. Being able to save the states of a smart object in my root document layer comps would make everything easier for me and a lot of other designers.

Please tell me this feature is in the pipeline.

Thanks for posting this Mattias, we're always eager to get feedback on how we can improve managing states via layer comps. We'll look into this.
