Photoshop: "Save As" dialog could have buttons for most frequently used file types
In the "Save As" dialog, it's frustrating to use the large "Save as type" pulldown menu every time I want to save an image.
How about using some of the space where "Save Options" is currently located to provide up to three buttons for the user's most frequently used file types?
This idea is a refinement of this one, in that I propose that the buttons should reflect the user's behavior, rather than just offering someone's idea of the most popular formats. Someone in the medical field might need to use Dicom a lot, for example.

I definetly support having a frequently used filetype option.

This is already done!
Not by Adobe, nor by Microsoft or Apple... Well, they just coded it... But the idea and the SOLUTION is existing since the first dropdown list in the world!
What is the solution?
Just get into the list: click into it with the mouse ot use a keyboard shortcut (on Windows Alt+T), and then just hit the first letter of the desired extension on the keyboard! ;)
For example if you want PNG then hit the P on the keyboard. Maybe it will not be the first get, but hit the P key again until you get the desired PNG.
That simple!
The method is the very same with any file type. OR... The method is the very same using any dropdown list in any application! ;)
