Photoshop: Rotate clone source
I came to this site hoping to find a way to get a couple suggestions to Photoshop's coders. I see no indication that is possible, but I will post two ideas anyway in the hope someone else knows how to get them to people who can implement them: Both my ideas involve brushes; the first is a way to rotate the clone stamp. For instance if I want to clone in a patch of hair it is almost certainly going to be oriented the wrong way. The next idea involves the selection tool. One version of Photoshop I had for a short time had the selection boundary coming out of the mouse arrow. I have no idea how that happened but it was much better than the normal tool, which so often blocks my view of exactly where the line is. I know nearly nothing about coding but doubt either of these changes would be difficult and they sure would be helpful to users.

Not sure what you mean by "selection boundary coming out of the mouse arrow".

Can you expand a little on how to find and use the clone rotation?
As for the "selection boundary", I'm talking about the marching ants line that is created by the polygonal lasso tool. That tool outline often blocks my view of exactly where the line is going to be. An earlier version of Photoshop somehow was using the arrow shaped mouse cursor as the selection tool and the line would seem to come right out of the tip of it, which made it very easy to see exactly where the line was being placed.
