Photoshop: Replacement color doesn't work
Got a PNG file with black graphic and white background and I want to replace the black with yellow and the white with purple. I am trying to use the color replacement tool. I have foreground color and set and as I drag over the image with circle and plus sign, nothing happens. I tried this in multiple versions of Photoshop and the tool just appears broken.

And Photoshop offers several non-destructive solutions for the task, for example a Gradient Map Adjustment Layer.

There is a promo going on that I think is still in effect this month wherein you can have the full "run" of all of the Kelby courses for a $5.00 one time month long trial. This particular course is very well done; I learned a lot from it.

Here is what comes out of that program: "I have not read any of the numerous articles and manuals and I don't know how to use this tool"
Try this FREE tutorial from Adobe: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/how-to/color-management-basics.html
