Photoshop: Program Error - Can't print (macOS 10.14)

Photoshop CC19 will not print 'due to a program error'.
I know MANY people are reporting this, but the fixes seem to apply to Windows computers, whereas I'm using a Mac, OSX v10.14.5
This is driving me crazy!

Are these new documents? Or previously saved documents?

What troubleshooting steps have you tried?

Have you tried holding down the spacebar when you select File > Print...?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the print driver? Do you only have one printer? or multiple?

What specific printer are you printing to? What's the driver version?

Hi Jeffrey!

Are these new documents? Or previously saved documents?
I'm trying to print previously saved docs

What troubleshooting steps have you tried?
Re-starting Photoshop (doesn't work) and re-starting Mac (sometimes works)

Have you tried holding down the spacebar when you select File > Print...?
I will try that next time I get the Program Error message!
I guess I'd have to select Print from the Menu rather than using the Cmd-P shortcut?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the print driver? Do you only have one printer? or multiple?
I re-installed the printer driver just now, and so far I HAVE been able to print!

What specific printer are you printing to? What's the driver version?
Epson ET-2550 – I don't know how to find the Driver version number...

TYVM for your help so far!

"I guess I'd have to select Print from the Menu rather than using the Cmd-P shortcut?"

Yes. At least the first time you print and previously printed image. Photoshop saves all the driver settings with the document - which is different than most applications. Holding down the spacebar says to trash those settings and get new settings from the driver. This is necessary if the driver was updated and the vendor changed the settings so the settings are incompatible between versions.

"I re-installed the printer driver just now, and so far I HAVE been able to print!"

Excellent. Sometimes drivers can't get damaged between OS upgrades. Hopefully that solves it.

"Epson ET-2550 – I don't know how to find the Driver version number..."

Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners... select the printer in the dialog, then click [Options & Supplies]. That will show the driver version.

Excellent!

Turns out my Printer is an EPSON_ET_2550_Series_2 and the Driver is version 9.81.

Thank you VERY MUCH for your help – I hope this is the last time you hear from me! ;o)
