Photoshop Problem 2020: Load files into stack

When I now try to make a GIF in Photoshop after the new update it crashes my Mac. I goto Scripts/load files into stack then browse and load images into photoshop bam it freezes? I can’t get photoshop to force quit. I have to shut the power button down. This happens ever day. Can Adobe please look into this problem.

Please install the 21.0.1 update that went out this AM. Let me know if you're still having trouble after the update.

I installed the new update 21.0.1 and No still not working. I tried to load a handful of images and it took over 7 minunts to load up and it was freezing and the ikon was spinning. I gave up and used my other Mac with Photoshop 2019 and was done in minuts. This is killing my workflow.  "Scripts/load files into stack" still not working.
Thx for the reply Jeffery

I missed in the first post - your whole computer is freezing?  Asystem hang or freeze requiring a computer restart usually means a low levelfailure such as a driver (bad video card driver, etc), failing hardware (harddisk, video card, etc.) or damaged OS installation.

So Photoshop 2019 worked no problem doing the same processe but as soon as I installed 2020 it's my Mac? Photoshop is freezing not my Mac and the only way to closes the app was to shut the power button off. Photoshop is 21.0.1 working very fast except for "Scripts/load files into stack".

I've tested my Mac and there are no known problems or issues. After some research on the web people suggested to click "Legacy Compositing" this has seemed to fix the problem? Working super fast again. So very confused? Jeffrey, can you please explain what "Legacy Compositing" is?
Thank you again for trying to help out with this problem.
