Photoshop: Older version installs as trial and does not start

As Photoshop 20 is unstable and laggy, I installed Ps 19 along with Ps 20. However, it installed as trial. And even so it does not start at all returning Error 16:

Anybody has any ideas what's going on and how I can start using Ps 19?

Did you uninstall and reinstall as the dialog suggests?

Hi John, did you install the prior version through the Creative Cloud desktop app or another method?

I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling through Creative Cloud desktop app as a first step.

Thanks Jeffrey,
I always install through CC.
Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't help. Same error.
Troubleshooting link helped to get rid of TRIAL, but Ps 19 still does not launch. Same error.

New comment. Uninstalled Ps 20, uninstalled Ps 19. Reinstalled Ps 19 ONLY. Still does not launch. Error 16.
Installed Ps 18, same error.

So you haven't tried correcting permissions per the document? I've asked an agent to try and reach out to you to assist.

No, I mean I left Ps 19 only on my machine to eliminate any possible conflict with other versions. I tried changing permissions too, but it had no effect. Now I’m back with 20 and 19 on my Mac. 20 starts all right, 19 doesn’t with the same error.
