Photoshop: New computer down loading LR and PS. LR ok, PS missing (vcruntime140.dll). re-enstaled PS same result.

This is a known Microsoft problem. I happens periodically, the fix is very easy. Just put the name of the DLL that is missing in a Google search bar and add "Microsoft" to it. ALWAYS select a MICROSOFT site to download from. All others can provide an avenue for malware to be placed on your machine.

thanks and sorry for delay responding. Tried downloading 140.dll, Microsoft refused due to already on my machine. So I went to the control panel, to delete programs and on the "c++ 2015 redistributable (64) I clikd repair. It did its thing and viola the darn thing fixed the problem. Now LR and PS is working.  Thanks. again. On to some great photo work (learning)
