Photoshop: macOS Finder not showing preview on PSD an AI icons

Mac OS High Sierra all the latest Adobe programs.....PSD and AI files are not showing icon preview images, and its really a problem when you design for a living and have thousands of files to look through daily. Any way to fix this??

Well first, i'd suggest always using Bridge to view your images rather than hunting for thumbnails on your desktop. Being a designer, this should be a no-brainer...
As for your specific issue, hard to know exactly, but maybe you're not saving the previews as determined in the Prefs?
Could also very well be an issue specific to the OS rather than an Adobe thing.

wrong. being a designer means being highly visual and the convenience of seeing icon previews wherever they may be located is essential.

second, i checked preferences and that feature is already on. older PSD files show the icon preview as i expect them to. whenever i update adobe programs silly things like this happen and that should not be the case.

then it's probably an OS issue. What happens when you view your desktop in Bridge? Do you see generic icons or previews?

and i don't understand your argument about being visual... nothing beats Bridge when it comes to visualizing your files.

Sounds like a corrupt com.apple.finder.plist. Try the instructions here: https://www.jgoode.com/easy-fix-for-mac-finder-preview-thumbnails-not-displaying/
