Hi Kenny, I cannot find a case regarding this issue (only issues from 2017 or earlier, mostly about account issues). When/where did an agent say this was a known issue?
I'd like to try and get to the bottom of this issue.
Do the settings get wiped every time you quit and relaunch Photoshop? e.g. you record and action, stop, quit and relaunch, the action you just recorded is gone?
I cant understand why theres no record Jeffrey. I did speak to someone about it as have others I have seen on the various forums. Recording actions is not the problem. I have actions I have bought which come with their own custom brushes and will not run unless the brushes are present when the program is running and i activate said action. However, as I stated before-and this is on tw systems- ne a acbook pro running mojave and has 32 gigs ram and core I7 cpu and 750 invida card, and windows x99 based pc with 4.8 gz cpu and 64 gigs ram, each time I close the program after I have finished, it shuts down fine, but upon opening said program again, i see only default brushes and none of the brushes I installed. when I spoke via chat box I took two screen shots f photoshop with the brushes and without directly after restarting program and put them on the chat. the chat then disappeared and I was so frustrated I decided not to start another
Do you remember what day you talked to support? Is it only the brushes that are missing after restart? If so, are you saving the set as Julie describes?
Or the actions and other settings that are found in Edit > Preferences (on Windows) and Apple Menu > Preferences...
Jeff...each time I close down photoshop after an edit session, every brush other than the default ones, disappear. I spend half an hour re-adding them only for it to happen again. On anther thread anther person has posted before and after images of the same problem. you add brushes, they appear in the panel. you finish editing and close the program down and when you come back the brushes have gone. I have saved as Julie describes. It makes zero difference.It does it on mac and pc on mojave and windows 10 respectively. I'm starting to wonder why I'm paying 120 pounds a year to lease software that is flawed
