Solved

Photoshop: Liquify Tool - black pixels after edit (macOS Mojave 10.14.0 & 10.4.2)

Just updated my Mac to Mojave today.

Liquify is creating black pixels when used.

I have tried to optimize performance but I still get the same error.

I have a super fast machine, so is not a RAM error. Liquify was working normally before Mojave OS.

In the image below, I have slightly adjusted the smile of the subject.

If you would like to try another possible workaround and report back, I would love to hear if it makes a difference. Please go to Preferences > Performance and then select the Basic mode for your GPU. Please let me know if that helps.

Thank you,
Hannah

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Liquify creates small coloured dots Photoshop CC2019.

After applying the liquify it is generating small coloured pixels within the image. These go on to exist in Lightroom, and are part of the final image when exported and viewed in other programs such as apple Preview, etc.

I'm using Photoshop cc2019. Please see the attached images. Note that the brightness increase was to exaggerate the coloured pixels.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Problem using liquify in Photoshop CC 2019 after installing Mojave!.

This liquify problem has turned out to be one big, not so happy surprise after installing Mojave! Not happy about having to wait for the next upgrade to fix this problem. My work has been slowed down considerable having to fix the mess it makes on my image!

For once, it's not an Adobe bug, bud Apple bug...
Install Mojave 10.14.1 beta, then all is fine with liquify...

Does it fix all the other issues too?

Afraid, not... Neither home screen bouncing, absurd auto-commit near anchor in transform, etc, etc...

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled CC 2019 Liquify produces artifcating.

When using any of the tools in the liquify interface in Photoshop CC 2019, the output from liquify produces random black pixels around any area that was effected by it, making the liquify tool basically useless as it will literally destroy any image that is being worked on.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled The pixels generated by Liquify.

The pixels you see around the image where generated by Liquify and its not only on my screen it also saves the image with that error and generates image with those pixels.

I called Adobe tonight. They said the only solution right now is to downgrade our operating system to High Sierra and then once Adobe has a new release we can reinstall Mojave.

As of this morning and an upgrade to Mojave 10.14.3 the problem is still there. So I guess every liquify will have to be followed by clean up on aisle 20.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled 'Digital' Black specks on photos appearing.

I'm starting to get what looks like black dots showing up randomly in the latest Photoshop CC. In the most recent cases after using liquify.
Any clues?

installing mojave update 10.14.1 has fixed this issue for me... though 10.14.2 apparently brings this issue back, so stick with 10.14.1 for now:)

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Liquify tool leaving ink spots.

After using the liquify tool to change the size of eyes or mouth it leaves little ink spots all over the face. I am using cc 2019 on a mac.

See above -- if you upgrade to the current version of the Mac OS (10.14.1) it will resolve this issue with liquify.
