Photoshop: Layer panel icons not responding

The icons in the layers panel don't respond anymore.

Neither the "[+]", the folder, the trash or the FX folder are respoding, no matter what content you loaded or if you have created a new document and a new layer.

All, but the mask button don't do anything anoymore, even after I restart Photoshop.

I'fully aware, that in this screenshot, I haven't selected the layer, but this doesn't make a difference. I also cannot clone the layer by dragging it on the [+] icon, and I cannot put the layer into a folder by dragging it on the folder icon. Everything that worked previously seems to not work anymore.

Do you use an external monitor that you disconnect from? If you quit and relaunch Photoshop do they work again?

You're saying that these icons don't work even after rebooting your OS and restarting Photoshop, right?  Have you tried to delete your preferences?  This functionality IS working fine, so there's one (or more) additional elements in play causing what you're seeing.  What's your system setup?  Are you using multiple monitors?  Unusual pointing device?  Other apps open at the same time?

Thanks,
David

Thanks for your advices!
Restarting the system did help right now and it works again, just restarting Photoshop didn't. Luckily I didn't have to delete my preferences.
I do use an external monitor and it has indeed been disconnected and connected again for the last session.
The notebook and the external monitor are both UHD monitors with different scaling factors (Windows 10). So maybe there was a problem.
I think we can mark this as solved! :)
