I like what you said, really. My problem is I have been using the application since the days of floppy disks, then smaller ones, then CDs now the cloud. I could do use a previous version, but I must be missing something. You mean a user can 'go back'? Since I mentioned 'floppy' that gives one a clue as to my age and I don't think the same way I did in the old 'daze'. I'm just totally bummed out, PS is broken, just look at all the issues that pop up, there is too much going on, but when [copy] [paste] doesn't work. . . . come on. Good Luck!
It could be a coin toss. I did not know anything about a 'security' update, but as I read through this forum I see lots of things that people are having issues with. Personally speaking, I am not happy about these latest versions. I have had my Windows laptop checked out twice now and things in PS like [copy [paste] doesn't work. When I move one layer around, the ones below 'highlight' and I have to hide then unhide them to see how the image really looks. I have also worked with Adobe Tech Support and they have made changes three times and it is still B R O K E N !

There's no problem having multiple versions of Photoshop installed. Several years ago we made a change to the installers so that it didn't erase older installations on update, since some users want to maintain multiple versions for a number of different reasons. If you're not such a user or if the setup doesn't work for you, just update the latest version and uninstall the old one.
