Photoshop: How to fit/reshape a straight lined texture to a guideline?

Basically it sounds so simple, I have a textured straight line, and then I have another image, How do I morph that textured line around the outside of the image without distorting it as bad as puppet warp :\ Please help, I've been stuck on this for hours and it sounds so simple

This obviously depends on the other image and how much distortion is needed. If it's just a bit of rounding, for example, then you can use 'Transform - Warp'. If necessary, do this in steps. Select only a part of the line and warp it. Then select the next part and warp it. That effectively gives you more control than warping the entire image (because Warp only has a few anchor points).

I am not exactly understanding the question. Do you want the textured line to be the border of the image? You will not be able to stretch the line without distortion. Probably better off copy pasting or cloning to make the line long enough to fit.

The way I'd do it would be to use "frequency separation", which is sort of like peeling off the texture from the tone/color into separate layers... I'd expand the canvas, copy-paste-move some parts to fill the border... then do frequency separation and use the clone-stamp tool on the texture layer, and the brush tool or clone-stamp underneath on the tonal layer to manually heal in any odd spots.

This handles frequency separation for skin retouching, but same idea...
