Photoshop: Grid/grid subdivision colors not ideal on dark backdrop
In the as per June 12 2019 up-to-date version of Photoshop CC, using a subdivided grid on a dark canvas is quite confusing.
As far as I can tell, the subdivision color is automatically set to be a brighter version of the defined grid color. Which looks fine on a white backdrop, for example, but really starts to confuse the eye on top of darker colors.
I work with tiling assets at a close zoom level a lot of the time, and once the edges of an individual tile or the canvas are out-of-sight, it especially becomes a conscious effort to focus on the right grid-line for orientation.
Please see the attached image for clarification.
My guess is, that using a the defined grid color but with less opacity for subdivisions may do a better job.
