Photoshop: Epson Printer Profiles lost after update to Mojave

I am a user of PhotoShop CC2018. I have been using an Epson 3880 Stylus Pro printer and an iMac for years. Since I have updated to Mojave I have lost all of the installed Epson Printer Profiles. In addition, I have tried to install a couple of new .icc Printer Profiles and have put them in the username/library/colorsync/profiles folder. Unfortunately, none of them show when I try to print within PhotoShop. Where have my printer profiles gone?

Do you have more than one Epson printer/driver installed?

Usually, a complete uninstall of all the Epson drivers and reinstall of just one driver will fix most printer driver issues.

Thanks Jeff....  I only have 1 Epson printer driver installed and it's the latest version for my printer.  Before the Mojave update all was working. After the Mojave update printer profiles are gone.  I may uninstall the printer drivers and reinstall just to see if it works.

Jeff... I uninstalled the Epson 3880 Stylus Pro printer drivers using the uninstall tool from Epson.  I reinstalled the drivers (no update), but still none of the Epson paper profiles that used to be there show up when I try to print in PhotoShop. Frustrating.

I use Pixelmator Pro on Mojave and find the Epson printer profiles are not that good for Mojave.  I've heard that Photoshop's printer profiles for Epson are very good and was wondering whether it would be possible for me to download them for my Epson SC-800 for printing from Pixelmator Pro or Photos.  I know this is not a very technical question, but would like some advice please.

Epson released many driver Mac OS updates on September 24th.  this would specify they were releasing a compatible driver to arrange for Mojave. This is easy to miss for those upgrading to Mojave. you can take Epson Printer Help to resolve this issues.

I called Epson and received a solution

System preferences —> Printers & Scanners —> Click Epson Stylus Pro 4900 then select Options & Supplies to see what Printer Driver is installed (9.65 is current as of 11/07/2018)  Download and install update if needed.

Select Epson Stylus Pro 4900 from left panel then delete it using the [-] key.
Add it back with the [+] key entering names if needed.  All the Epson ICC profiles should now be available.  Restart Lightroom (or Photoshop) go to the Print module and click on the ICC profile to see the menu of ICC profiles.  Press Other to see ALL the ICC profiles available and check only those you want to appear on your menu.

I did this, too, for my Epson Stylus Pro 3880.  I also followed another thread and copied and pasted ICC profiles from one file in my Library (can't now remember which) to Library->ColorSync->Profiles.  The combo of doing both seemed to work.

Worked perfectly on my new iMac with Mojave. I moved all my stuff over from other iMac but did not get my Epson ICC profiles when I went to print with my Epson 9890.
I tried to download or move the profiles over to new computer. Your directions were the simplest solution! Hit the - sign and then the + sign to add printer back in & bingo the profiles are now there. Thanks!

Worked great for my Epson Stylus Pro 3880 lost profiles- just deleted the printer driver with - sign and added it back in with +, all profiles were there. Thanks for the help!

Thank you.  I have a P800. After I deleted the printer driver I couldn't add it back. But I went to Epson support and downloaded the driver again. (I turned on the printer first and selected "this printer is already on my network" when the option came up)

The driver found it, finished installation and all the paper profiles are back in my print dialog box without needing to restart first.

Tried recommended suggestion, the only thing that worked was reseting my printing system.

System preferences —> Printers & Scanners —> Right click on the printers list and click "Reset Printing System" This will remove all installed printers and settings.

After that I re-added my Epson 3880 and relaunched Photoshop and my ICC profiles were now listed.

I had this problem with a Stylus Pro 9900 on a Mac Pro. I downloaded the latest driver and installed it, even though it was the one I was supposedly using already. That didn't work. Next I went to Systems Preferences and uninstalled the 9900 then reinstalled it. Everything worked then. All the missing profiles were there.
