Photoshop: Easier way to paste Lorem Ipsum text

Hi fellow Photoshoppers,

I found use in a direct option to fill out a just created text field. The new possibility to fill text fields with Lorem Ipsum dummy text through the menu Type is very convenient. However this constantly forces me over and over again to navigate to that menu after creating a new text box.

Wouldn't it be faster and more convenient to have the possibility to instantly fill the field by adding the 'Paste Lorem Ipsum' in the right mouse button menu, opened by clicking in the textbox? Would make me work faster.

Let me know what you guys think and if the idea's clear.

Cheers!

Howdy Oscar,

While adding Paste Lorem Ipsum to the right context menu might be helpful for you, it's liable to be bloat for others.  How about this instead?  Click Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts and select the Type menu.  Find Paste Lorem Ipsum and add a shortcut for it.  Now you can use it without the menus.

What do you think?
Thanks,
David

Agreed, that would have been my fallback solution ;)

or is there a type of smart object, symbol, or library item you can just drag out instances of?

Howdy Steve,

You could use Libraries to create a text object that you could then re-use for all your projects.  It would reside in the cloud and could be used on any machines using that user ID.

Thanks,
David
