Photoshop: Curves are suddenly missing the slider bar below the graph and i can't enter any integers

my curves are suddenly missing the slider bar below the graph and i can't enter any integers. I thought maybe if I update to 2019 it would solve it but no such luck....

Not sure what you mean by slider bars below the graph... I know theres input /output with text boxes to enter values, however sometimes those text boxes disappear even when switching to another layer and coming back... a simple click on any of the triangle chevrons with enable the boxes... bug was around for a while.

Hey , you know how below the curves layer there's a bar - like the one in 'levels'
mine is missing as well as the triangles - I can't adjust anything on my curve

Cant ever remembering seeing a bar under curves... just the input /output boxes... but its good you posted that image... cos you have the freeform pencil selected, that will make the adjusters disappear.... click the sine wave to bring back the triangles.

Theres no bar below curves as far as I can remember... what did the bar do that the black/white ramp isnt doing?

In order to enter "Input" and "Output" integers, you first need to click on a point on the curve.  Then the boxes to enter integers appear for that point.
