Photoshop CS6: Text issues on Win 7 after reinstall

i was using cs6 for about a month with no issues my computer got a nasty bug so we wiped and reloaded i have windows 7 when i try type in CS6 it doesn't show up it immediately changes to the transformation tool when i click to type when i go to edit my text layer (with no text to no text to begin with) then it tells me its rendering my text when its done im still looking at no text nothing shows up.

I dont know if this helps but i got a trial for CC and it works perfectly.

Hi Jordan,

What OS are you running on?  What language OS?  What language Photoshop?  What language is your keyboard?  Are you having any issue with your CNTRL/CMD key?

Thanks,
David

Hi Jordan,

It sounds like there's an issue with your keyboard.  Are you running an English keyboard?  Is it a standard one?  Are you running with a tablet, particularly a Wacom one?

Also, have you reset your keyboard shortcuts recently?  It shouldn't be an issue, but if you press T for the Type tool and instead get Transform (CNTRL+T) it sounds like there's some keyboard input issue.  Are you interested in a web-hosted screenshare/troubleshooting session tomorrow?

Thanks,
David
