Photoshop CS6: Guides positioning relative to document, not ruler origin

I'm having an issue where the guides positioning is always shown as relative to the document no matter where I move the ruler origin to.

Here's an image of the issue. Ruler origin is set to the middle of the document, and yet the guides still read as if its set to the top left corner.

Any help with this is much appreciated, thanks!!

As far as I can tell this is a bug in CS6.  In CC 2015.5 it looks to be working the way you would expect.  Sorry that CS6 does not behave this way.

Double click the upper left corner to reset 0 coordinate.

Thanks David, but then what if i want to have the origin point somewhere else to measure from that point and this error is still occurring?

Ah I am sorry,  I misread your question. I am investigating a little more.

It's incredible this problem was posted 10 months ago, I have reposted it 4 months ago, Jeffrey Tranberry (Chief Customer Advocate) Official Response wrote "Engineering is looking into this." and still ... here it is the same unsolved bug.
Please people. Why Adobe is so lowprofile nowadays?

This is a bug on CS6 and CC2014 (don't know at CC2015)

That is a different issue that is still open for engineering to work on. If you disable "Overscroll" in your preferences, does it work correctly?

Yes, if I disable "overscroll", it works normally again.
But generally overscroll is a must. So please work on it.

This bug is still in actual last version: Photoshop CC 2017.1.1.
Preferences > Tools > Overscroll is off. Still adding new guides from left-top corner. Not from rules zero. Shame.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Photoshop: Guide's position indicator is relative to document, not ruler.

If I set the origin to a different position than default, the ruler follows receptively the changes, but when I try to put a guide, the position indicator will count the X/Y distance from the image's top-left most pixel.
