Photoshop: CS6 Extended - problems with timeline 3D object rotation
Recently I've come across a problem using timeline to animate a round sphere rotating. I can manually rotate a sphere on it's axis perfectly. If I use timeline to record the rotation and play it back it either only rotates a 1/4 turn or rotates off axis, usually horizontally. I'm pasting the steps so you can easily duplicate the problem. I've asked others on the napp forum and they experience the same results. Thank you.
system specs:
6 core intel 7 3.5ghz
12g ram
3g video ram with gpu (driver is upto date, hasn't changed between the two objects)
1.5tb hard drive.
Windows 7 64bit sp1 (up to date)
==============================steps===========================
1) open Photoshop
2) File new (size you like to work with. I used 1680pX1050p,res 300)
3) create new layer, fill 50% gray
4) new mesh from layer, mesh preset, sphere
5) paint a dot at facing center of sphere (after making sure via coordinates that sphere poles are exactly north/south)
6) open timeline
7) open layer one in timeline
8) create end keypoint on 3d scene position at 00
9) move slider to 2-3 second mark
9) rotate sphere around y axis(aprox, 360 degrees using dot for ref.)
10) return time slider to 0 and hit play
