Photoshop: CS5 is slow on Mac OS X Lion (Bad font issue)
Hello
My Photoshop Cs5 is behaving very strangely since I upgraded to Lion.
Every step or click in Photoshop takes 5+ seconds.
Reset Preferences.
Removed 3rd party plugins.
Reinstalled photoshop.
Nothing helped.!!

You could be right about this being a display / video card problem.
But one thing I don't understand is why Photoshop CS5 runs perfectly without this bug? PS is also slow, but not anyway near the slowness of Bridge, that sometimes becomes so slow that it is unusable.

Often a single third-party font will be bad, yet bring down the quality of all type-related activities. These steps should help identify and isolate the culprit.

Basically, when even one of your South Asian fonts doesn't have an English name, it can cause a problem. Turning off font preview is one solution.
