Photoshop Creative Cloud 2021
I just sent a .psd file to someone and she informed me the layers didn't show. I opened it up again and I realize this is what she is seeing and I have no idea why. I tried to open other .psd files and they all open like this with only a single layer. Can someone please help?

If you flatten your file, layers will be composited and you'll only see the Background layer.
