I don't think the Adobe Staff can do much to help you with this without knowing what OS you're using. Step-by-step lead up to the crash might help, as well. It crashes if you open any new file? It crashes whenever you start to paint on a layer mask? How do you get to the part where you paint on a layer mask if it crashes when you open new images? I think we need to know more about what's going on.
Hi. Sorry for the confusion. Im using Windows 10. At first it started crashing after I opened my photos via lightroom. I could edit for about 5 minutes, before suddenly crashing while using the brush on a layer mask. I had been able to use the brush several times before it crashed. It happend when using the brush after adding the second and third copy via layer with a layer mask. This happend 2 times. Then I googled for a bit, and read that some people had luck opening the image directly in Photoshop. So I tried that but it crashed straight away.
I havent tried anything since then. You dont get very far when you have to save after every little change you make, to make sure you dont loose your progress.
