See the previous posts about issues with MacOS 10.10 and how to narrow down the causes.

If you haven't tried it yet, go to Disc Utility and run a verify and repair permissions on your OS 10.10 volume. That might help mitigate the program error.

Done and done. Still getting the program error.

Did you try a completely fresh new Admin user as I suggested above? http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

Winner winner chicken dinner. - Setup new Admin and no error message after multiple PSD files were open.

My guess is the application support folder for Adobe is messed up. (I've see OS upgrades or user Migration Assistant mess permissions up like this more often than I'd like to see.)

/Users/jtranber/Library/Application Support/Adobe

You need to use Method two in this document to access hidden user library files in OS X 10.7 or later: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/gl...

What does your dialog look like under Sharing & Permissions?

Just to confirm, this is for the damaged user account? Can you confirm you have the same access for all subfolders?

Good call - Yes this is for the damaged use account...but per your second question - the "CoreSync" subfolder had "Custom" set for staff and everyone.

Unfortunately - Still getting the error message after 1st open..at times it allows me to open two documents...last attempt was able to open three before the error message appeared.

Just to confirm, you clicked the little gear icon in the File Info dialog and selected ""Apply to enclosed items"?

Mine was same except staff and everyone was "custom"...but....I went ahead unlocked the folder...and then applied Read Only to this and all inside folders for 'staff' and 'everyone' and Read & Write for me...and it seems to be working now!

I dove in late last night - First, I uninstalled Creative Cloud, Photoshop CC 14, Indesign CC and Lightroom 5. After that I reinstalled Yosemite. Then I installed Creative Cloud - followed by PS and Indesign but, since it was late, I spaced out and forgot to install Lightroom 5. Photoshop is working great atm. The problem is solved for me. And altho likely not related, I'm feeling a bit cautious about installing Lightroom - will wait until I need it for my project.

My reinstall didn't work. Went into Sharing and Permissions and now it appears to be working. Thank you!

Which folder had the permissions problem?

I went into Adobe Info, unlocked it and clicked the gear and selected "Apply to Enclosed Items" - made my admin read + write and read only for others. (described above)

So, just changed permission on the "Application Support" folder...and was able to open about 10 PSD files before the error message appeared.

CMD + O = *** Collection was mutated while being enumerated.

File > Open = Could not complete your request because of a program error.

"Collection was mutated while being enumerated. "

That isn't a Photoshop error message.
Which product and version are you using?

Photoshop CC2014 / Mac OS X 10.10.1

Again, that isn't a Photoshop error message.
What said "Collection was mutated while being enumerated"? Where exactly did that message appear?

It appeared as I was opening Photoshop. - Hit Cmmd + O and that message appeared. So despite you saying it's not a Photoshop error message... it happened.

What finder view are you using in your open dialog? (Icons, List, Columns or Coverflow) If you set it to list, does the problem go away?

Hi all,
having same issue opening files I have tried all above suggestions, but to no avail. Any news or updates from Adobe or Apple on this? So far I can open files in Photoshop through Lightroom, but this is really, really frustrating.

Thanks very much!
