Photoshop: Converting a vector shape stroke into a separate vector outline

Basically, Illustrator's "Expand" feature. It would split the layer into two new vector shapes—one for the fill, one for the stroke.

Vector strokes in Photoshop were already a great addition and are pretty flexible with their various options, however sometimes a little manual control is just needed.

Yes this is really needed!!!

I need to be able to scale strokes of vector shapes proportionally! Or do any other manipulations to a stroke.

We need to go from this:

I hate Illustrator's usability, I work with shapes in Photoshop, so it is really needed, please!

Hi guys. There is a workaround using 'Offset Path' option in 'Object > Path > Offset path'. I know it's not ideal but does the trick in most cases.
