Photoshop CC: Some Filters in not working in Mac OS 10.11

Since installing Mac OS 10.11 I have not been able to use many of the built-in filters in Photoshop cc. Artistic Filters such as Dry Brush, Add grain, Brush strokes, etc no longer function.

Are you working on an 8-bit, RGB document. Many filters won't work on 16-bit images or in color spaces like CMYK or Lab.

Just to clarify, when you say they no longer function, are they greyed out? Or can you select them but the dialogs don't work in some way? or do you get an error?

They are not grayed out. All of the filters listed under Filter Gallery... are involved. When I go to the filter it opens. I see all of the choices (Dry Brush, Angled Brush Strokes, etc) but nothing happens when I select one. I have been usig Photoshop since Version 1.5 and this has never happened before.
