Photoshop CC: Image place error message: Could not complete your request because of a program error

Every time I try to open a file or place an image in in photoshop CC I get an error message before I have time to navigate to a file and select it. The message is "could not complete your request because of a program error"

Are you on 10.9?

Are you using Coverflow in the place dialog?

Try switching to something other than coverflow view mode.

Does updating to Mac OS X 10.9.1 or later fix this for you?

This sam problem started occurring today, for me.
Running on Yosemite, Photoshop cc2014.
Is there any word from Adobe on a fix.
I can shut down the program and get it to do one photo, such a pain when I have a whole list to do.

Is Photoshop up to date? (2014.2.1 update)

Try restoring your preferences: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

If you do restore your prefs, please save a copy of your existing prefs in case they turn out to be the culprit. Having the bad prefs can sometimes help us track down the issue.

Jeff,
Just did all you said, I am running 2014.2.1, deleted preferences, restarted. Was able to do two without crash. Didn't go further, because I was just doing test.
I saved the old file to my desk top. If you can tell me how to send I'll send to you.

Zip 'em up and post 'em to Creative Cloud. Then post the URL.
