Photoshop CC: How to I add my fonts so I can use them?

I'm new to Photoshop CC (I've been using Photoshop Elements for several years).  How to I add my fonts that I have on elements and my laptop to be able to use them on photoshop CC?

Have you tried to see if Photoshop already sees them. Cmd/Ctrl-T to select the Type tool, then look up to the Options bar and you should see if there is a name field for fonts.

They do have to be installed on your computer through your OS system and active, but I expect if you can see them in PSE, you can see them in PS. If not, let us know your OS and if you're using a font manager.

Thank you!  I think they actually are all there :).  Phew!  One more quick question if you don't mind and if you know.  When I put psd files into the cloud on creative cloud...how do I open them up in photoshop to edit them?  Thanks

Try going to the Creative Cloud App—it's the cloud looking icon that gets pinned to the Apple menu bar on Macs—I'm not sure where on Windows—by default. Look under the Assets tab and pick Files, then Open Folder. That will open the folder on your computer and you can open a file that's synced from there. On a Mac, the folder can be added to Favorites in the Finder window. In fact, I'm pretty sure that's done by default. I'm sure there's something similar for Windows. Sorry, but it's been too long since I used Windows to be of any use there.

I don't store my photos in the Creative Cloud (I have other files there), but that should get you there.

Then like me, Cmd-O should open the Finder window and the Creative Cloud app (or iCloud or Dropbox if you also use those as I do) should be right there in your Favorites list and you open like from any other folder.

Howdy Sandra,

Just so you know, Photoshop can "see" all the fonts installed on your machine.  It will present them all in the Font Face dropdown, sorted by script-family.  If a font is missing from that list then either a) it is not available to all applications on that OS or b) it is a class of font that Photoshop doesn't support such as Type 1 font in Arabic/Hebrew or AAT fonts.  Heck, thanks to Typekit, you can also access like 3000 fonts from Adobe's font library.
