Photoshop CC: Cannot Open Files [Mac OSX 10.10.1]

Some time after opening a file in the Photoshop CC 2014 App, the program becomes unable to open files via the Command+O or File>Open options (Opening recent files still works), saying



If all the files are closed and I try to open another file, it says



The problem is only fixed if I quit out of the program and restart it completely. This is really annoying and I hope it can be fixed soon!

First, make sure Photoshop is Up-To-Date: http://adobe.ly/PS-Up-To-Date (2014.2.2)

Second, try creating a new Admin user account and run Photoshop from the new user account to see if the problem goes away: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

Third, what Finder view are you using in the open dialogs? (Icons, List, Columns or Coverflow)

Photoshop is up to date (2014.2.2)

I have not tried the Admin User thing but currently I am using Columns.

Try the creating a new Admin user.

Does the problem go away if you change the Finder view to Icons, List or Coverflow?

Are you running any system extensions? They usually show up here in System Preferences:

I currently am running a Paragon NTFS addon, however disabling it does not appear to solve the issue.

List view appears to have stopped it, however. Although List View does not fit my workflow very well. I'd hope there is a proper solution soon!

Oh, heck. That sounds a lot like an old OS bug is back, and the error message is coming from the OS (it used to be only in the console).

Thanks. And browsing local directories (internal drive), external drive, or network drives? (Just trying to think of things that would help us reproduce in house)

Columns as well. Although changing it to list view in the open dialogue has changed it in Finder to List view too.

Can you post a view of what your open dialog looks like when you get the program error? That may give us a clue.

Screenshots of the error are in the first post. The open dialogue doesn't even show up, and instead the error does.

Yeah, it doesn't even show up if the error occurs. So pressing Command+O or File->Open brings up the error message instead of the Open Dialogue, unless you mean something else (give an example?). But it is in Column View.
