Photoshop CC 2019: Layers thumbnail images turn black/distorted and unusable after transform

Hi Hannah, I've just upgraded to Photoshop 2019 and having the same layer problems. However I discovered that if I convert an RGB file to CYMK color mode, the layer problem rectifies itself, though of course I don't want every file to be CYMK. Is there a patch coming for this issue?

- OS Mojave 10.14.610
- MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015)

If I turn of graphic processor then filter lightning effect not working even if is image in 8 bit. Lightning effect I use for making texture. I try to use texture under mask and when I change size of texture thumbnail turn black.

Didn't work for me.  Looks like this 2019 edition needs a lot of work judging from all the comments I've read.  I hate the text box and the already text inside it and the fact that my backgrounds in select and mask turn black when I post them on a website.   Hope Adobe gets a fix in quickly.  

You can disable Preferences > Type... Fill New Type Layers with Placeholder Text.

For the bad blending/black previews, try going to Preferences > Performance... and check "Legacy Compositing" then restart Photoshop. Does the problem go away?

I tried these 3 good suggestions, to no avail. 
-disable Preferences > Type... Fill New Type Layers with Placeholder Text

-Preferences > Performance... and turn of Use Graphics Processor, ....restart PS

Sadly, Layers Thumbnails still creating black in empty area after transform.

This worked for me!  ... If you go to Preferences > Performance... and turn of Use Graphics Processor, restart Photoshop, do the thumbnails render correctly?
