Photoshop CC 2018 and 2019 Crash when I adjust 3D material settings

I've been unable to use Photoshop CC 2018 and 2019 for months because it crashes whenever I try to change any 3D material settings using the sliders. Also, I just experienced another crash using the new frame tool using the latest version of Adobe Photoshop CC 2019. Note: 3d works just fine on Adobe Photoshop CS6 with no issues whatsoever.

As you can see from the video, there are also weird visual shadowy artifacts visible around the 3D objects. I've been grappling with this issue for months, and have upgraded to the latest version of Photoshop CC.  To make matters worse, it's crashing now when I attempt to use the new Frame tool now!

Any help would be appreciated! I need to get back to work and I'm incredibly frustrated.

I'm having the exact same issue.  i even formatted and did a fresh install since i was planning on doing it anyway and still can't use anything in the materials section for 3d without it crashing.

Hey, try this!

My fingers remain crossed, but it seems to be working--no crashes yet!

Maybe we can help each other even if Adobe won't. May I ask what kind of computer and graphics card you're using?

So I've used all of the following:

GTX 1080 Ti (many different drivers including latest as of 3/28/2019)
I've also used a Quadro P4000 drivers: 419.67

windows 10 64bit latest version with 64gig ram and an intel i7 7820x @ 3600
ZERO plug-ins and fresh install.

when opening a new document and typing some text I go to 3D and once I select materials and simply drag or even touch the materials slider of either shine or reflect it crashes immediately.  No hang or anything.  pops up instantly.

So i tried the registry fix and it was a no go.  No difference what so ever even after the PS update to 20.4 :(
