Photoshop CC 2017: Adjustment layers all have the same icons in the Layer panel

In earlier versions of PS the adjustment layer had an icon that hinted to the kind of adjustment as now it is just the generic symbol of adjusment. Having serveral layers this is not helpful in the workflow not to be able to identify those adjustment layers immediately.
Can this be reintroduced? Thanks!

Use the flyout menu to choose Panel Options. Change the thumbnail size to medium or large. I'm not sure why the small option does not display the more info filled icon as the size only seems to change the content/mask sizes not the icon for the adjustment.

Steve it helped to set the thumbnails to the next size. This should be corrected by the PS team. Thanks!

The Problem is still persistent in CC2018 (v19.1.6). Please have a look at the problem. Bigger icons take up more screen real estate which in many cases is inconvenient. Thank you!

Adobe please fix the icons. I currently preserve the original layer name to distinguish the adjustment layer type (plus custom name at the end).

Go to the fly-out menu on the layers panel, select Panel Options and choose a larger thumbnail size.
