Photoshop CC 2015.5.1: Not printing in macOS 10.12 Sierra

Finally.....Thank you Jeffrey Tranberry, I now have printed several psd images successfully, the first time in about 6 weeks.  Now to reinstall all of my color profiles.

Jeff, Is there a fix for PS CS6?  I don't have CC but my version was fully functional until loading Sierra.  I would hope that CS6 would also be updated as this is a bug fix and not a new feature.

Older versions of Photoshop (including CS6) were not designed, nor extensively tested to run on macOS Sierra. We strongly recommend that customers do their own testing on a non-production partition to ensure that new operating systems work with their current hardware and drivers (printing, etc). You may wish to remain on an older version of the OS that is compatible with prior versions of our software. We can try and help find a workaround, but older versions of our software haven't been updated in years and won't be updated in the future.

So no support for CS6?

Did I miss something? Are thanks to Adobe/PS in order? It should be a huge THANK YOU to all of us for slogging through a 6 weeks period whithout the ability to use the PSD function. (Reminds me of a personality of currency who seemingy doesn't apologize to anyone, for anything, ever. )

Thanks for your response, Jeff.  It's what I expected.  However, I have several issues with your response.

1.  It's obvious that Adobe did NOT do extensive testing macOS Sierra with Adobe PS CC or we wouldn't have this thread.

2. The option of staying on an older (dead end) OS is not a real option.  You're basically trying to force me into jointing CC and BTW, if I did go to CC, I still would have been without full use of PS for more than a month until there was enough commotion to get Adobe's attention.

3. "Older versions" of your software have been updated for bug fixes, which is what this is.  My PS CS6 worked fine before upgrading to Sierra and Sierra didn't cause issues with any of my other software.  I understand that I won't get new PS features staying with PS CS6 but bugs should still be fixed.

It seems to me that if Adobe was able to finally find a fix for this issue on PS CC, it wouldn't be that much more to fix is for PS CS6.  I've been a loyal Adobe customer for years and use Lightroom 6 as my main photo editing program.  I have PS CS6 for the occasional issue that needs a more complex edit but don't feel compelled to go with CC at present.  I've been considering going with CC but, I have to tell you that this kind of issue makes me much less likely to tie myself to Adobe with a monthly fee.  I hope you read this and respond.  I understand that you're give me the company's party line but it really leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Which of Jeff's steps to resolve the problem? I am having the exact same problem with LR - photoshop works fine. This is crazy. Spent 3 hours with 3 different tech people who obviously have no idea that there have been issues.
In one instance the tech came on my computer changed a bunch of stuff for trial and error testing then gets cut off since the program he was using to access the computer crashed! - leaving all his changes to my system . next tech, start process again, then next tech. It's like Groundhog Day!
And still no resolution. please advise.

Did the problem with printing from LR occur after doing the latest LR update (CC 2015.8 / 6.8)?  I'm afraid to install this update as printing from LR is now my only option.

Well, it looks like my PS CS6 printing issue with Sierra is finally fixed!  I did the Apple software update 10.12.2 the other day and just for the heck of it, decided to try to print from PS.  It seems to be fixed.  Thanks Apple!

I have continuing printing problem with PS crashing using Epson SC P600 when printing photos.  I raised the issue on 21st Oct with Adobe and followed guidance, reloaded drivers on iMac, OS is 10.12.1 BUT problem still exist.  When will this get fixed?  

I need a free month as currently paying for an app that doesn't meet its primary purpose is fraud - isn't the program called "Photo" shop?

I discovered I have the same issue today too.  Epson printer driver is up to date - Ver. 9.33 printing.

I waited a couple days before upgrading, just to make sure there wasn't any chatter / advice not to upgrade.  Adobe knows the release date for the new version of macOS.  Not a surprise to anyone.  Pro software?  Monthly fees?

Luckily, I made a cloned partition of the previous install to go back to.

Everything is absolutely up to date.

Photoshop is the only app that doesn't print. All other CC apps are fine ... just PS, and yes, it did print perfectly before Sierra. A 7890 is a commercial printer ... not a consumer product and it's not that old even in the digital world.

Finally, Apple crash reports are loading and I have been sending them in religiously, but no Adobe crash reports have been generated by the system. So, yes, I have sent in crash reports, but no I have not sent in Adobe crash reports.

Seems like Photoshop CC 2015.5 is the ONLY app that is crashing when print in macOS Sierra. Other major apps seem working fine. And it is "useless and pointless" to ask us to install an older version of PS, it is counter productive and in many ways, inconvenient t and not a permanent fix. this should not be happening at all.

It is obviously an issue and problem with Photoshop CC and macOS Sierra. This is a widespread issue as you can count from the number of posts here with same issue.

I strongly urge you and the team to fix it yesterday and release an update/fix tomorrow.

In the version photoshop for windows, he falls every day, topic about this is updated regularly, and it has a lot of years! But Adobe is constantly responsible - this is not our problem, this problem manufacturers of printer drivers. I hope that the problem in the version for macOS decide and decide quickly!

After upgrade to Sierra photoshop crash when I can print. 9x crash 1x works. :-(

have you deleted the folders contains i mentioned above?

Yes, no working. I had again downgraded El Capitan.

Is not working. I have tried not less than 3 macOS Sierra now.
