Photoshop CC 2015.1: Open Recent files in the file menu stops updating

'Clear recent files' solves the problem for a while, but after a few days it stops adding the most recent files again...

Howdy Taco,

There is a known bug that after the recent file count gets to 100, we do quit adding additional recent files.  To fix this, you'll need to "clear recent" again.

Thanks,
David

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Recent files not working in PS CC 2015.2.

In Photoshop CC 2015.2, the recent files list does not work. Both the menu item and the new start screen seem to show old files, but none of my recently open documents gets added.

The new Recent Files Workspace doesn't update the latest opend documents some times. Files that were opened with drag and drop do not appear in the list.

Jorg,

files that dragged into Ps do appear in recent files, for me, if they are dropped onto the start background.  If you drag a file onto an open document, it is "placed" as a layer, and does not appear in recent files.  If you are seeing a problem in the first case, that sounds like a bug.
