Photoshop CC 2015 text color corruption

Hi,

While working on a PSD, I changed the visibility of a layer (visible -> hidden -> visible) which caused most text layers to change color. At first I assumed it was my computer, but opening the PSD on other computers still shows the same issue.

Multiple actions can cause the text to switch back, including changing the canvas size, editing the text layer and changing the color mode of the PSD.

I've attached two images showing the issue. The green text is the "corrupted" color, and the second image is what happens after clicking to edit the text.

I have a single-layer PSD that reproduces this error that I can provide as well.

I'm using Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 running OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5.

I was unable to find this issue reported anywhere else. The only other text issue that shows up is relating to text disappearing. Dictation was set to off before this issue occurred.

Hi William,

I've never heard this issue reported before.  I would definitely be interested in following up with you.  You can email the file to me at david dot mohr at adobe dot com.

Do you have an color calibration software running?  Do you get this with all files or just this one?  Is the color of the text an issue in reproducing this?

Thanks,
David

PHOTOSHOP 2015 CORRUPTS my files!!!

We have the same problem since a few days ago, since around October 9th. The colors and images get corrupted, and don't revert back even if you quickly close (unsaved) the file and reopen photoshop. We are using Photoshop CC 2015.0.1, and it's destroying the progress we've put hours and hours into. This is not why I'm paying Adobe $50 every month for... To be specific, some icons we created turned black, as well as text - turned black. And one of the images got a white rectangle about 300px by 300px - basically it erased about 1/3 of the picture with white rectangle thrown on top of it. Needless to say, it feels extremely unsettling to keep working as things keep getting corrupted and we don't see an update that offers fixes yet.

P.S. We are using Photoshop 2015.0.1 on Macbook Pro OSX 10.9.5

Hi David,

I just sent you over an e-mail with the PSD.

This happens on fresh installs with just Photoshop installed. This isn't an issue across multiple PSDs or on one specific installation of Photoshop.

The example PSD I sent you is a duplicated layer from a large PSD with multiple groups representing different screens of a software project. When this bug occurred, this happened to text across all groups and was not specific to text with a single color.

Did you use Camera Raw right before the blocks appeared? If so, try disabling GPU usage in Camera Raw.

Howdy Nika,

Can you share detailed steps of what you're doing to trigger this?  We are not seeing this problem here.  Do you get this with all files?  Only certain ones?

Also, can you send me a small sample file with this problem.  My email is david dot mohr at adobe dot com.

Thanks,
David
