Photoshop CC 19.0.1: Text Size Scubby Slider and Up Down Arrow no longer gives live updates

I updated to 19.0.1 this morning, and everything is lovely with the exception of the Character palette. I'm suddenly unable to see increases or decreases made to any inputs in the Character palette via the up- and down-arrow keys in real time (only when I tab out of a field or hit Enter to commit the change does the actual type onscreen update). I'm able to make updates with arrow keys in other palettes (e.g. Paragraph). I should mention that I'm on a Macbook Pro (OS 10.13.1).

Will use Photoshop CC 2017 instead. This is just driving me crazy.

Same here. Of course all my settings defaulted when I reverted to older version. This sucks so much right now. Why the settings aren't saved in cloud ??? All star marked fonts, everything. Really time consuming and frustrating! Why Adobe why?

Hey all, revert to 19.0.0. The bugs there are less annoying than this one.

I just rolled back to a previous version with the creative cloud app, pretty easy work around if anyone else is interested. It also leaves the newest version installed so whenever they implement the update I’ll switch back to the latest version.

Is there a time frame for this particular problem to be addressed? We are now two weeks out and I am trying to decide if I should roll back to the previous version. Very crippling for my workflow as I am sure it is for others.  :) Thanks!

Glad I found this page... this bug has definitely affected the speed of my workflow. I never realized how much I use that simple little feature on a daily basis, but once it is gone or broken, WOW!

Definitely seems like a bad decision in that trade-off scenario. I keep checking CC app for an update. Hopefully it will roll out soon or else I am going back to 2017 where everything worked as it should.

The people making these decisions are clearly not users of Photoshop.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Font not changing size on fly anymore when text and font size selected with arrow....

So some may know many may not but in Photoshop CC 2018 when selecting and highlighting text and highlighting the font size and then using the up and down arrow keys it doesn't change in real time on the fly like it did in previous versions....I thought this was FOR SURE a bug, but then today I spoke to an Adobe supervisor after almost 2 long hours with techs letting them drive my computer as if they knew they were going to solve this....which of course they didn't!  The supervisor told me this is expected behavior of Photoshop CC 2018 and that the feature was removed from this version?!??!  Is this a for real thing moving backwards in the software?!  I had more fun working in Photoshop 10 years ago I swear.  Please chime in if anyone knows if this is going to be resolved soon.  I uninstalled 2018 and reverted to 2017 which is perfectly fine for me!  Aloha.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled I want to preview type changes without hitting return.

In Photoshop you used to be able to adjust type styles (font size, leading, kerning, etc.) and see the changes rendered immediately.

Now I have to hit enter/return to see them. This means adjusting sizes/spaces 1 point at a time is a tedious process.

I know the previous release broke this feature altogether, so I appreciate that this functionality is better. However, it's still not fixed. I want to know that this is being addressed.

Is Adobe going to get their arse in gear and sort this out? Seriously, if you didn't spend pointless time trying to sell us on your Adobe stock of Cloud services then maybe you could fix the features that people ACTUALLY USE!
