Photoshop: Can't save because of a Program Error

when i try to save a file it says cant do it because of a program error

That's a pretty common generic error. It can mean almost anything. When I get it, it usually means something has corrupted in RAM and I have to quit and restart PS, but since you want to save your file first if you can, you might try Edit > Purge> All. That should free up some RAM if that's the problem. If that doesn't work and you can't save the file, you may have to quit and trust to the autosave function to load the file when you relaunch.

If you keep getting the error, there may be something more wrong.  Resetting Preferences may fix it — https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html.

Otherwise, I suggest you come back and tell us about Staff can help.  In my experience, though, this is usually something that occurs somewhat randomly, infrequently, and is not a persistent issue.

I'm not seeing an active membership under your email address. Try uninstalling and reinstalling from Adobe.com

Hello I am suffering the problem of "could not save because of a program error, I have tried unchecking the generator option located in the preferences and have free'd up lots of room on my computer. I still have this problem someone help ASAP

Please install 22.1.1 which was released late last night. It contains a fix for program errors.
