Photoshop: Auto select parameter doesn't work with Hue Saturation

I just recently found the Auto Select Parameter option in the adjustments palette, and it's a great time saver, however it doesn't seem to work with all of the different adjustment layers.

I just tried this on Mac OS 10.6.8 and seemed to work with Hue/Saturation. Can you give more details on your set-up?

Thanks. Let me try with Lion. Might be specific issue to that OS/version.

Hi Matt,

Just tried with 10.7.2 and 12.0.4 and couldn't repro (with default panel layout, both creating the new Hue/Sat adjustment layer from the Adjustments Panel and the Layers Panel.) The Hue edit field was highlighted in all cases.

I'm wondering if we're doing the steps wrong, or if the there is another panel showing or aspect of your set-up that is different. Can you take a screen shot or video of your entire screen so we can look for clues/differences?

Hi Jeffrey-
Thanks for your continued attention to my dilemma. I work with two displays, my secondary display has all of my palettes. Actually while trying to reset to the default layout I wasn't able to get the palettes to configure themselves properly to the default position, they just seemed to disappear. Perhaps this is the culprit. I've attached a screen grab of my layout on my second display. Let me know if you need any more info from me.

Additionally, and this may be a separate issue worthy of another post but I often find that the preview key " / " doesn't work in the Hue sat or some of the other adjustments either. I've had that problem across many different machines, and have had it ever since the instigation of the adjustments panel.
