Photoshop: Add ability to use Adjustment Layers dialogs instead of Adjustment Panel

I am trying to get used to CS5 for about 8 months now, but the (especially H&S and Curves) adjustment layers drive me nuts. Too much mousing around, not enough shortcuts, and the worst: That 2 pixel button I have to hit, to close the adjustment window. Seems, that my cordless apple mouse starts to get jaggy as it approaches that tiny target.
Is there a way, to bring back the old functionality with less clutter(maybe as an option) for adjustment layers, and also a big "RETURN" button for adjustment layers? In short, all the functionality that CS3 provided.

Thank you,

Markus Marschall

Thanks for the update Davide.

I was wondering if you could provide a small tutorial for beginners like myself on how to create a button for a panel like the one you have done with your Floating Adj panel including the mouse over color change and the mouse click change.
