Photoshop: Accented Edges filter issue
I am getting some bad results when I try to use the 'accented edges' filter in the filter gallery, the result looks very aliased for some reason.
here's the original:
here's the result:
here's about what it should look like, from when I tried to do the same thing before the problem started:
As you can see the result looks much worse than it used to, the effect is much stronger for some reason and the straight edges are jagged where they're supposed to be smooth. The issue is the same with many other filters such as dark strokes, angled strokes, crosshatch, ink outlines, ect.
The issue started a month and a half ago, I posted it in the other adobe forum (why are there 2 forums) and nobody had an answer despite me bumping it about 5 times. I talked to customer support and they couldn't help either. Nothing's changed since then. I've tried updating and reinstalling, clearing settings, legacy compositing, disabling the graphics processor, installing an older version of photoshop but to no avail

I cannot reproduce. If I use the default settings for accented edges (Width 2, Brightness 38, Smoothness 5) I get the exact same results in 2019 that I do in CS6.
