Photoshop 22.0.1 update - Big Sur Problems
Hello together,
i recently updated to Photoshop 22.0.1 and since then i can't see the brush preview (in red) anymore. The Color Pipette tool doesn't give a preview anymore.
There is the error with the ghost layers again. Back then it was the option to deactivate the old Compostion Engine. This time it is abolished. But I still see these ghost layers when I move layers, multiply or have another layer mode in this new Version.
I have now installed the old Photoshop 22.0 on Big Sur again and it works normally there. What you changed there does not seem to be positive.
Also it is still not possible to overwrite any file in Photoshop under save as.... It always creates a copy, no matter what I do. This Bug is present since the entire year... why is Indesign and illustrator able to save correct without a copy and Photoshop not?
My machine is a MacPro 2019 a Vega Duo and latest official Big Sur.

I'm having a slew of issues too. It's not saving my preferences, so when I quite or force quite the app after a hang up (which happens upon opening most files) it trashes all my prefs.
I've done it all thus far: Restarts, dumping prefs/settings/renaming files/opening other files/turning off font programs/downgrading versions/reinstalling versions etc etc.
I am at a loss as to what to do. I assume the only solution is to go back to Catalina???
Whoops. Seems like a big mismatch with this version of Big Sur and the latests few versions of PS.
