Photoshop 22.0: Where is Line Weight/Width and Pixels options?
I'm having trouble using the Line Tool in PS 22.0.0.
How do I set the width/weight of the line? In PS 21 there was a "Weight" option along the top bar, but I don't see that anymore. Am I missing it? Or did it move?
This might be a separate issue, but the lines I'm drawing are not showing up. I have a fill color and stroke color selected, but when I make a line, I don't see it. I just see a blue outline of where it is... the same that might happen if I made a "path" instead of a "shape."
I just need to make a line with a width/weight of 20px.

I don't understand why in version 22.0.0 the Tool line is no more effective in pixel? Every others shapes can, but not the tool line? Why, I'm unsing it a lot in pixel, if I have to have a layer for every line I do... Not really cool, can I have an answer about it?

The line tool is something I may go months without using and then I have a job where I need it badly. Right now is one of those times. The workarounds are simply *not* working for me and I have a job right now for a client where this missing functionality is creating a serious problem. Please fix this ASAP!!!

It seems you can no longer use the "Line Tool" to draw a line... who on earth thought this in any way a good idea? What good is a line tool that can't draw lines?
Please can you restore the pixel option to the line tool? This is crazy.

Hey Adobe
Any news regarding the restoring of the old Line Tool pixel functionality?
I have to say your customer service regarding this matter has been pretty dreadful. Not only did you
remove a very useful (and used) tool without consulting the community, you have also managed to
infuriate us all further with your radio silence on this issue.
I hear you are sorting this out. Are we to be waiting days? weeks? months? years?
Can we expect future issues with Photoshop to be handled so badly?
I guess what I'm trying to say is .. are you going to start treating us with respect and answer our queries
or should we subscribe to another product?
I'd like an answer as I'm sure many others do. Pull your finger out!!

Imagine you take a paper and a pencil and start drawing, everybody knows how a pencil works. Now imagine Adobe makes you updated pen and paper without asking. Every time you drew a line its either invisible or needs accepting and adjusting before you can draw more. Thats basically what you have done to pixel lines. You turned fast intuitive drawing to slow pain. To put it short Adobe: fix it, give us a refund for last month and apologize. Also shame on you for not testing your updates in real use. This update affected my business. My trust in Adobe is gone, I will not recommend relying on Adobe products for anyone. I will start studying alternative software.

I use the line tool in pixel line mode frequently in my work. I work at Dreamworks Animation and I need to use the line tool to indicate shader/texture references. It is an important part of my job. I would like to ask you to bring back to pixel option.

Has Adobe confirmed the old line/arrow tool will be restored in an upcoming version or update, or are we just going to have to learn to live without fossil fuels and live with spotty solar power on our own roofs?
At this point, all I see is them saying, "Ya, we know you want your gas powered cars back, but we in California believe you must drive an electric car. You will learn to live without gas powered cars and the Photoshop line tool because we know what is best for you in each of your employment applications. Who needs the line tool anyway. Just quit and go on welfare in down town San Fran!!!

I seem to have found a bug with the latest version of Photoshop.
I have just created a line using the line tool but I cannot seem to change the line height, I set it to any value and the shape height does not change, it just reverts to 0px once I click off of it.
Kind Regards,
Jack Wilson

Here's my workaround:
Make sure your line is set to be centered on the path. It's most likely set per default as "inside" of the path, and that's why you cannot see the straight line when drawing it. By changing the stroke on the path of the line, this problem goes away.
I've made an illustration, just to make it simple to see what needs to be changed and, when inside the path is a good thing to use (when doing exact designs). As this problem is no problem when working with closed paths, such as rectangles or free forms that are closed.
Hope this helps!

Hello, this new Photoshop 2021 is a crazy story! Impossible to simply make a 2px thick red line with a 2px white outline ... Between colleagues we exchange macros, not everyone has the same version of Photoshop and here I am the only one who can not work. I need a video to understand how I have to work and make a "simple" line from one point to another.

When will we get working line tool back? Also why does this forum have so horrible UI? Quoting other users is really hard. On the other hand the forum experience is pretty consistent with the latest Photoshop experience.
Continue with these workflow interrupting bloat updates as you are and the Photoshop will have no users in 10 years.
