Photoshop 21.1.1/20.0.9 is now available.

Looks like some of those bugs that were really impacting productivity in v21.1 have been addressed. Thanks for getting these fixes out, Team Adobe. 

Nb. Of course, I'll be sticking to 20.0.9 for the time being. I have work to do. I look forward to hearing from people who have time to test this latest release.

Just to let you know that still after this update, the UI Font Size Preference reset to default. This has been happening since v21.0.3.

Hi Pete,

In your post you mention that this update fixes reported issues including "layer thumbnails".  However, in the fixed issues list there is no mention of a problem regarding layer thumbnails. Do you know which issue has been fixed? I am asking because I still have this issue with thumbnails in the latest version.

V 21.1.1 does seem to have fixed the problem with tools / brushes shooting left and up when mouse released. I did have a LOT of difficulty with the Update process, tried five times with similar but different files referenced in the error messages, all were missing from C:\Adobe temp. I finally completely uninstalled Photoshop v 21.03 and tried once more, with same failure. I then deleted that directory, rebooted PC, and did fresh install from Creative Cloud. That worked!  I am wondering whether those temp files are leftovers from my previous CS6 which I uninstalled last fall! Problem solved... but observations re why I was having difficulty and those mysterious c:\adobe temp\ files might have been would be appreciated.  (The temp files were not recreated upon fresh installation...)

Pete, i was only able to see and install the .1 release on Win10 by logging out/in of the CC app.

There's no mention of what these fixes actually fix in the fixed issues list. And the artboard/canvas redrawing bug I posted 2 weeks ago is still here. 

An interesting bit of fallout from the 21.1.0 problem with tool brushes darting left and up:  AMD posted an image of one of their CPUs with public permissions to use it, some graphic artist took that image, made a background layer using one of the orange colors on the chip, then used Gradient. The result was that there is a wide swath of black from the bug, going up and left. To make matters worse, the graphic artist apparently tried several things to repair, with the result being that the final image has lots of "dirt" specs inside the swath, possibly from reduction of opacity and attempts to use Healing tool.

Then, an author on the financial Forum Seeking Alpha which is very widely read, used that image as an illustration in a story about AMD. Following is a "snip" from that article.

I will be sticking with the older version of Photoshop 20.0.9 because 21.1.1 is giving nasty issues with rendering 3D extrusions with unwanted reflections superimposing over the render.
