Photoshop 21.1.1: Can't draw curvy lines with brush tool
I recently updated PS to 2020 (20.1.1) and I have trouble controlling brush tool. I can't even draw simple curvy lines. They always start straight no matter how smoothly I try to draw. I never had this issue before this version. I usually use wacom tablet. I tried with two different tablets and mouse. All give the same issue. Please anyone, help!!

Have you checked to see that you are painting to active layer and that brush settings (Opacity/Fill) are set appropriately?

I forgot to mention but I'm mac OS 10.13.6. I'm not sure the platform difference make difference, though. I cleared all the custom settings, nothing is checked, but even with just the simplest standard brush it automatically draws straight line before turns curvy. It's so weird and driving me crazy!

Hmmm... You know what? Your suggestion may be working. I thought I got rid of all the settings but didn't try to go back to the default setting.
I don't know if this is the same as what you suggested. I only use the wacom tablet (no mouse) so I "Reset All locked Settings" and "Clear(ed) Brush Controls" from the top right corner of the Brush Setting window instead of "right-click". Now on the Brush Setting, only "Smoothing" is still checked. Then I was able to lose those sharp bends. I realized the Smoothing has amount control and set at 10%. When I increased to 100% it draws nice smooth lines and circles. It draws super slow, though. But now I know how to fix this issue. I still wonder why that "unchecked" Smoothing function exists. How useful could it be?
Anyway, thank you so much, PECourtejoie!!!!! Now I have to figure out how to eliminate the delay in drawing speed.
Thank you, everyone, for trying to help me out!!
