Photoshop 21.1: Changing focus away from app changes the active document with floating docs

I prefer to work with cascade view in photoshop.  That being said, since the newest update, when i'm working, if i were to click outside of photoshop, whether it's an internet browser or bridge or some other program, the file i was previously working on will get shuffled to the back and the next file in queue will be the front image.  How do we fix this?  My computer is running the latest catalina mac software.
