Photoshop 2020: Freezes on simple tasks every 25 seconds on windows 10

Adobe Photoshop 2020 freezes on simple tasks every 25 seconds on Windows 10. It's impossible to paint or do selections as it freezes every 5 strokes. I've read that it's happening for some Mac users too.
The previous version was working fine. After two days of useless struggle it's time to go back.

Same here.  Glad it is not just me.  I also found a similar problem with changing brushes or changing colors for a brush, but not quite such a long delay.

I've also tried re-updating the Wacom tablet drivers to the latest but makes no difference.
Disabling Windows ink space doesn't seem to solve this issue either.
Anyway, who knows what's the root of this bug. We'll have to wait for the Adobe guys to check this, and that's if it's a general issue.

I've just updated to CC2020. The very first thing I tried was 'Select Subject' - crashes every time. I haven't  tried many other functions...focused on this one.
Tried two of Carlos' solutions but no joy.

I also tried the Select Subject first and had the same lockup result every time I tried with different settings. My solution was a follows.
In Windows 10 under System Properties > Advanced > Virtual Memory, make sure you have it enabled. I didn't since I didn't need it. PS 2020 apparently does need it.

The last option that Carlos described is the only one that functioned to me until now but only after I've deactivated the tactile functions on my Wacom tablet.

With the last update, it's working just fine again.
